Restoring the Shore–March ’13
The following images are just beginning of the restorations being made to our beloved Jersey Shore. Though it may never be the same, it will always be as beautiful as the sea is mysterious. Don’t lose heart, though hard to look at these pictures remind us in a subtle way, that everything that was once lost, may be found again.
“Consider the subtleness of the sea; how its most dreaded creatures glide under water, unapparent for the most part, and treacherously hidden beneath the loveliest tints of azure….. Consider all this; and then turn to this green, gentle , and most docile earth; consider them both, the sea and the land; and do you not find a strange analogy to something in yourself?”
― Herman Melville, Moby-Dick

Thank You for the pictures! You can’t imagine the devastation without the pictures. Their so sad but it makes you realize what mother nature can do. I grew up in New Jersey and vacationed at the Jersey shore for 50 years. Pictures tell a thousand words. Thank You, Lucille Finnegan
